What's Up at KPS

At Karibib Private School we are very eager to share our projects with the Internet community, specifically with other schools interested in seeing what we’re working on.

Here in the Sport & Culture section, you will find a variety of projects on different topics throughout the active curriculii.

Regional Science Fair

On Wednesday the 5th of July 2006, 20 learners of the Karibib Private School departed on a 3-day trip to Swakopmund to take part in the annual Regional Science Fair.

On the second day of arrival the judging took place and the participants were very tense.

On Friday the 7th of July 2006 the prize giving ceremony took place. The event was sponsored by Erongo Marine Enterprises.

The Karibib Private School is to take home 4 Gold medals and 5 Silver medals for the Secondary phase, as well as 2 Silver medals for the Primary phase.

The Gold Medalists will be going to Windhoek for the National Science Fair.

We wish them the best of luck and hope they come back with medals.

KPS hopes for Quarters

After a long disappointing season, Karibib Private School rugby team still hopes to reach the quarter finals.

The school has been playing rugby only for 3 years and due to lack of experience the team had to go through tuff times and big challenges such as playing against well experienced teams like WHS and other strong opponents.

They lost 5 games in a row after beating Pioneers Boys 20:3 but however the coach managed to put the team back in action by winning Walvis Bay High 7:0 to make it 2 wins in 8 matches.

The resignation of one of their best player (winger) Nedoncel Lemina Mabedo kept the team down, but with one match remaining the team is relying on their top scorer Logan Hedimbi and their leading captain Quinton Naobeb.
